Hi Reader,

Today is Diwali..

A day to bring the light into your life, and let go of the darkness.

Traditionally, it’s said that lighting 13 diyas on Diwali is auspicious.

I have been thinking about the 13 diyas I want to light in order to improve my mindset and life.

These are the 13 mindset shifts I will be focusing on this Diwali:

  1. Gratitude: Replace complaints with gratitude.
  2. Forgiveness: Embrace forgiveness to free up mental space for peace.
  3. Detachment: Detach from outcomes.
  4. Presence: Embrace the present moment.
  5. Inner Strength: Realize that true strength comes from within.
  6. Compassion: Move from judgment to compassion.
  7. Self-Mastery: Take charge of your own emotions rather than allowing external events to dictate your state.
  8. Humility: Embrace the mindset of being a learner, staying open to growth and other perspectives.
  9. Acceptance: Accept things as they are rather than resisting what you can’t control.
  10. Generosity: Share your resources, knowledge, and love, knowing that giving enriches your own life.
  11. Patience: Replace impatience with trust in timing. Life unfolds in its own way; embrace patience and let go of the rush.
  12. Mindfulness: Actively engage in each task with intention, making life feel more purposeful.
  13. Joy: Find happiness within, rather than in possessions or achievements.

While lighting each diya, I will be thinking about each of the above mindset shifts.

Once you build the right mindsets, everything else in life becomes right.

I also posted on LinkedIn earlier this week about the 5 mindset shifts that have transformed my life.

I share how I:

  1. Replaced 'Time Management' with 'Energy Management'
  2. Replaced 'Willpower' with 'Habits'
  3. Replaced 'Downtime' with 'Recovery'
  4. Replaced 'Goals' with 'Systems'
  5. Replaced 'Rewards' with 'Purpose'

What I'm into this week:

  • I'm reading Everyday Ayurveda in paperback, which is giving me a lot of daily routine ideas.
  • I'm working on new consulting clients on CRO and Lifecycle marketing, which are both exciting areas to run growth marketing experiments with.
  • This playlist has become my go to deep work playlist this week. A good change from lo-fi.
  • I shared my top picks on
  • I'm working on Halloween campaigns for Mob and Diwali campaigns for Decode Age, two of my current focus clients.
  • I've recently started working with Rohit from Livezy as my personal fitness coach for the next 3 months, to learn more about training and nutrition from him.
  • I've started tracking my water intake, trying to hit 3L/day more consistently. I'm using Waterllama, a beautiful app to do this. It's a wonderful experience using the app.

P.S. None of the above links are sponsored.

Yesterday, I had a long sunset walk.

The cloud formations and the sea looked extraordinary.

I have shared some more photos from yesterday in this post.

I think you'll like them :)

Bonus:

I got into the flow state while walking around the sea, and didn't realise when I hit all those steps:

Once you're in flow, you loose the track of time.

When you get in that zone, it's just a supreme confidence. Things just slow down. You really do not try to focus on what's going on, because you can lose it in a second. You have to really try to stay in the present, and not let anything break that rhythm. - Kobe Bryant

Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate. - Chuang Tzu (Zhuangzi), philosopher

Wishing you a bright and meaningful Diwali, filled with inner light and growth.

Best Wishes,

Rishabh
